You, Me, Them, Everybody is a podcast.

YMTE produces and hosts every Monday evening at the Hungry Brain, a lovely establishment in Roscoe Village, a neighborhood on Chicago’s North Side. To get a better idea of the place, here’s their Yelp page.

We’re always in need of people that want to work with us. Here’s your chance to meet like-minded individuals and earn college credit.

All internships have a 3-month requirement with the option of extension. Though it should go without saying, listen to a few episodes before you apply. If you don’t like what we do, you probably don’t want to be around us for the next three months.

Street Team Leader/Assistant Producer

Will assist at the YMTE Live show in a producer capacity (watching the schedule, helping guests and hosts, breaking down stage for musical guest, etc.). Attend all YMTE Live Shows (the last Monday of the month) to ensure everything goes smoothly. Not required, but if possible, attend all YMTE. Occasionally host YMTE produced events. Help set up a street team to promote the podcast and live events (this would be done on an occasional basis, mostly focusing on large events). This person would have an outgoing personality, not afraid to talk to strangers, while at the same time not being super annoying. Looking for a self-starter, someone able to work on their own without much supervision. Must be 21+.

Stage Assistant

Point person for setting up and tearing down all equipment for Hungry Brain events. Helping throughout event if anything needs tweaking (ie. sound, lights, camera) and just general aid throughout the night. Ideally someone that has worked with PAs, mixers, camera, projectors, etc. and is interested in a career in music. Interest in sound engineering and/or video work for live events preferred. Must be 21+.

Public Relations

Responsible for sending out weekly press release for all live events and featured podcasts. Would progress into writing press releases. Responsible for maintaining press document list. Ideally 21+, but not required.

Video Editor

This person will take all footage from YMTE produced events and cut them into at least one video per event. It will be their responsibility to catalogue all footage.
They will be responsible for filming all Hungry Brain events. Must be 21+. Experience with Final Cut or Premiere software preferred.

Site Developer

This person will devote the majority of the work to building up a YMTE mobile site and a YMTE iPhone, Droid, etc. application. Previous experience with web development and WordPress preferred.
